The 3rd and final seminar of the faculty development program held by the department of Electrical Engineering took place on the 8th November 2024. The topic of the seminar was "Digital IC design flow and it's applications in embedded systems". The speaker at the seminar was Dr. Haroon Waris. The department of Electrical engineering organized a seminar on design and fabrication process of rigid flex PCBs on 6th November 2024. The seminar was part of the 3-day faculty development program that was conducted by Engr. Ali Nisar who is a senior research officer and project director at National Institute of Electronics. The seminar aimed to provide the skills necessary to effectively implement designs requiring flex and rigid flex circuits in accordance with product requirements. The Department of Pakistan Studies at NUML, Islamabad, hosted a seminar titled "Cultural Heritage of Pakistan" at the Ibn-e-Rush Hall, featuring Dr. Zobia Sultana, Deputy Director of Lok Virsa Islamabad, as the chief guest. The department of Electrical Engineering organized a seminar titled EMC standards and pre-compliance testing as part of a three day faculty development program. The speaker at the seminar was Engr Awais Maqsood who is a specialist in the field. EMC and EMI tests are a mandatory requirement for product marketing in advance countries. The participants of the seminar were introduced about the significance of EMI/ EMC tests and how considering them the the early stages of product development can lead to marketable designs and aid in avoiding the need to redesign the product at a later stage

The English Readers' Club of the English Department (UGS) of the Afternoon Shift organized a literary gathering on Billy Collins' anthology Bright Wings on November 14, 2024. Faculty members including the HoD attended the program. Under Ms. Aleena Shahzad's guidance, students explored the anthology's evocative poems, discussing birds as metaphors for human emotions and connections to nature. The event emphasized poetry’s ability to unveil life’s complexities, inspiring reflection on our bond with the natural world. Students recited selected poems, and the event concluded with the distribution of origami birds to the audience.
